That pic brings back memories.

hehe...that's fantastic, I've never seen that.

Yes, that's my new rig, but even the mics are fake. Tucked in behind it is a single 10, 18w combo.

I don't have a photo, but the image of a 5'3" Paul Kossoff in front of a pair of Marshall full stacks epitomises rock guitar to me.

I saw slayer in montreal, 2006 I think?

They had marshall cabs used to make inverted crosses behind them.

Much like this:

I don't think Slayer have ever done one thing that didn't just annoy me.

Nice groupies!!!

Whats with Geddy and washing machine and rotisseries? I could see it if they are covering the song Dirty Laundry... :naughty:

Ed's backlines have often been overkill.. Looks like 15 inch speakers in them.

I remember seeing Blackfoot way back and the had about 20 Marshall stacks behind them.. First time Id seen something like that so it was uber cool.

Re: most awesome full stack you saw

The biggest backline i have ever seen (not in person though) was on stage with Jim Marshalls' 80th B'Day Bash.
I think they used 120 1980B cabs.

ZZ Top's 2009 stage setup was pretty rad

It was like:

Re: most awesome full stack you saw

If i have to choose only one full stack (two cabs/one head), it will be the hi-lited cabs, into one of their 120W Master Volume heads.

Or, maybe a 4X15(bottom), and 6X12(top) . . . mmm, yes, that will get my musical message/vision over !

;)

Re: most awesome full stack you saw

The coolest fullstacks I'd ever seen was at 17, when I first saw all the music store displays of Marshall Jubilee stacks.

I had a 100W 2555 that year, which I grinded them on the price for....$860 out the door. I loved that amp, used it for years, and stupidly sold it.

Then, in 2001, I found a 50W version of that amp with both matching cabs. Incredibly, I got it with the covers and manual for $1500. I still think it's the best looking of all the Marshall stacks.

Yep... it's a little different now. I was at this show...

The coolest stack I've ever seen is the one in my living room:

I expect to see stacks on stage... but when I have one in my living room, that's just the cat's arse!

It's all about context...
