Changing string. My only guitar has a Floyd. I've only done it once and it was annoying enough. Nothing bad happened and I knew all what to do but still, it's long and a hassle

How long have you been playing? A month?

Re: Most Hated

Changing strings. It doesn't help that I often reset my intonation and neck relief when I change strings.

Re: Most Hated

out of the 3, changing strings. Since i dont own a floyded guitar thats not too much hassle.

Re: Most Hated

It's all a labour of love for me so I don't mind anything. If I had to pick something though I'd have to say changing strings, because alot of the time I'll **** around with my truss rod and bridge for a little bit only to put them back exactly where they were.

Re: Most Hated

changing strings for sure. Sometimes on the rare occassion while im restringing it while tuning up the string will break and then i am forced to open yet another pack. Very frustrating. Although often when i tune to alternate tuning i someitmes break as tring thus leading to more string changing, so its a toss up between the two. Cleaning isnt really an issue, as i dont really clean my guitar, although i really should.....

3, I got my guitar in February. I got the strings changed 3 times, twice by a shop (with the set up that I wanted) and once by myself (which went perfectly, but it's still long)

Re: Most Hated

Meh, I chose option two. I don't think I've ever successed at changing strings without puncturing skin, usually on the fretting hand.

Tuning is a breeze on my Nitefly. Takes about 2 seconds to verify that it's ALREADY in tune.

Then again, with the locking tuners, string-changing goes pretty quickly (albeit painfully).

Re: Most Hated

well i hate changing strings and then after tunning them, but the tunning is so frustating even with a normal tremolo...

Re: Most Hated

I voted changing strings. Not because its too time consuming but because I have to change them so often. It irritates my wallet lol

Re: Most Hated

I don't mind any of the 3 choices but of them, changing strings on a guitar without locking tuners is my least favorite....more time consuming than the other picks.

Re: Most Hated

changing strings for me because i think cleaning is ok and tuning is a piece of piss

Re: Most Hated

I really hate cords. They tangle, get shorted, you step on them, they're never long enough. They mess up the sound if they're too long. They're ugly. They're expensive. You never have the right ones at a gig or in the studio. They get lost too easily. If you're not careful, they'll pull over your whole rig.

Ahh, that felt good. I've never gotten that off my chest before.

Re: Most Hated

tuning doesnt boether me what so ever, i dont really see how it could unless the guitar was being annoying and would not stay in tune whatsoever, but i ahve a good ear for tuning so no big, but changing strings, is a little more tedious although i dont really care.

Re: Most Hated

The only one that bothers me is changing strings when you've been playing or writing a song and one breaks! That drives me nuts . . .

Re: Most Hated

I love changing strings. It's very relaxing to me. Cleaning guitars doesn't really have much to do with how they play, and I don't have any really expensive guitars, so I don't clean that much.

Re: Most Hated

Forget tuning and changing, The worst 'must do' task is packing down and hauling your rig after the gig. The sooner fender amps come with inbuilt teleporters, the better.
