Most moving solos...

Here are a few that come to mind.

Alan Parsons Project - Old and Wise
Thin Lizzy - Parisienne Walkways
Fleetwood Mac The Chain
Thin Lizzy - The Sun Goes Down
Chris Rea - Nothing to Fear
Paul McCartney - No More Lonely Nights
Mike Oldfield - Moonlight Shadow
Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall Pt 2
Iron Maiden - Strange World

To me all fit in beautifully with (or make the) song.

"The Messiah will come Again" by Roy Buchanan...

That man really knew how to play guitar :/... such a sad story about his life and death aswell.

Interesting. I only knew this song through Gary Moore. Same hot licks. Same sad ending. Why do the good die young?

I must have listened to this a dozen times now. Thanks for posting this. That’s amazing. I had heard it before but never knew the name of it. And I had never heard Roy Buchannon’s version.

Did anybody else notice that his (Moore’s) neck pickup is installed backwards and that it looks like all of the screws have been removed?
What’s that all about?

peter greens lp, the screws are just sunk down below the level of the cover, maybe flush with the top of the bobbin.

roy wrote the song, the version i know best is from his '72 album

Yeah, looks like the screws are sunk below the cover. I've flipped neck pickups around like that and the tone got a little snappier with the screw poles facing the bridge. I have the Screamin' Demon like that now in one of my guitars (yes, in the neck spot).

I don't know Artie.

My best friend Simon was murdered at 21. :/

...

I think Roy Buchanan (the original composer) 's verision is the best. He always played a Tele...
and it really takes a MAN to play a Tele! :D

I'm glad you got to hear it.

rock on mate \m/

Not a whole song, but I've always thought the impromptu solo in the first minute of this Steve Lukather "Transition" pickups promo video from DiMarzio was always really moving and expressive:
