Moved to a One Spot Pro Isolated brick

And I have to say - I really like it! Everything super quiet. My live signal chain is:

Guitar> Boss Wireless

Boss Wireless > EHX Pitchfork > EHX Synth9 > Morley Liberty Wah > Amp

Loop > Zoom G#N > Loop

So, a lot of various digital pedal, both in front and in loop. It can be persnickety at best in a shaky bar electrical environment. So Now I'll be building a new custom shaped live gig board again!
 
Which Boss Wireless do you use? I love mine. I just have to remember to keep it charged.
 
Before I was using two One Spot and a long Daisy chain. Sometimes OK, others not.
Dooshrocket sound guy was all like "There is something wrong with that amp!" Just eyerolled....couldn't possibly be your cheap @$$ doesn't have an iso-power supply/conditioner, could it?

Wireless is a Boss WL-20
- Overnight charge before a gig is the ritual. Never had a problem. Really like it.

Anyway - non issue now and I get to go to Lowes for boards!!!!

Good clean power is a must. I used to use 1-Spot adapters, and I still do for my compact boards. Switched everything on my big guitar and bass boards to Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 3+.

To be honest, I didn't really notice much difference between the 1-Spot and the Voodoo Lab with my guitar board, but the bass board really came alive. Hard to describe but its almost like the bass has more dimension and my P Bass sounds especially deep and rich. Didn't have problems with noise before or after the change.

I've been playing solely at home for the last couple years and I have a newer home with proper wiring. Where I will probably be glad for the Voodoo Labs is when I start playing out again and power will probably be sketchy.

Glad you got your board all done up with good power!

Yeah, the daisy chain one spot is usually great with analog pedals but not so much with digital. I also have a 1 spot iso and never had an issue.
 
I use the WL-20, too. I just have to remember to take it off the charger on the day of the gig.

I think it's a smart move. You play a lot of dynamic spots like festivals and outside staging right? man, a daisy chain power supply would bother me knowing some random ground noise could be on the horizon at the wrong time plaguing a gig.

I played a gig this weekend with a player who had a daisy chain at rehearsal, and I told him he needed to switch it out before we played because I didn't want to deal with the potential for unwanted noise. He gladly did, as he wasn't aware of the difference -I didn't tell him which to get because although I know which are the quietest -but the only real requirement is an isolated transformer per output and as many ports as he needs -so I didn't want to put the stress of a certain one or certain price point to hinder him with.

He went with the MXR ISO Brick -a good choice -and it was nice and quiet at the show.

Good to hear the One Spot ISO is good!

We'll play anywhere from a tent outside a BBQ for Toys for Tots, to the Hardrock, or a nasty smoky bar, to Bike Night outdoors.
 
You can only run 8 9volt pedals with this power supply correct?
I’m running 9 on my board right now and looking for a better power supply option as I’m running a regular 1spot with daisy chain…

Yeah, that's what I kind of know -that must be a ton of fun, I'm in Tampa a lot this fall and hopefully will check out the 80s Hollywood Bvd chaos and party sometime....
 
I've never had a problem with the OneSpot adapter with a daisy chain when I used it. Not one. I have a 1000mA supply from Pedalsnake.com to use with my board now. Yes, it's a wallwart with a daisy chain but it's more than enough current for my needs. If there was ever any noise in the signal, it was because of a faulty source plug and I have a plug check tool with me that I use before even plugging anything in.

It really depends on your pedals. Some digital ones are picky.
 
I just converted this One Spot Pro power supply this weekend as well! 9 9 volt pedals powered in my board and I am very happy. Thanks Aceman for the motivation!!
