I agree alot with his statements.
We got some stuff coming out that is TB, some is switchable between buffered and TB, the new chorus will be TB for some funny reason, I suspect that our boss hopes to sell more units that way?!?

Don't worry about the true bypass thing. The Plexitone doesn't suck tone - It's a great pedal!

I'm looking for that AC/DC tone, and I'm using a Mesa Boogie Caliber 50+ combo (6L6's).
I was told that this pedal only does his thing with a marshall type amp. How is it with 6L6's amps?
Also I have a MI Audio Crunch Box and a Fulltone OCD. Will it bring new colours to my sound?

Tell you what bro, I have a 1971 Univox U1246B head which used two 6L6s and the Plexitone turns it into a killer Marshall. I don't know if it's the tubes as much as it is the circuit design, but with my Celestion loaded cab it's really a totally pro tone. The Plexitone is absolutely the best Marshall pedal I've ever used. It actually sounds better through that Univox than it does through my buddy's 73 50 watt Marshal, lol. Figure that out?

I use both the trimode and plexitone pedals to mix my tone through three amps (I also use Red Repeat) and could care less if the switches are not tube bypass switches.
Carl Martin made extremely great pedals that are all about TONE.

hmmm .. mr cornish seems to have unassailable credientials indeed
but i am less than impressed with his contrived scenario ... instead of the cable lengths he describes (15' from the guitar to the board, 2' between pedals, and 30' to the amp) lets use 10' to the board, 6" between pedals, and 15' to the amp) .. all of a sudden, his 63' is down to 29.5'

Most of Mr. Cornish's clients play stages a lot bigger than 10' to the board and 15' to the amp.

And you're still losing signal after 18'-20' of cable. I use 10' to my few pedals (tuner, phaser, wah) and 18' back to the amp. Right after the tuner before that last run sits a buffer. It makes a noticeable difference....slight, but noticeable.

There are a couple of guys in Portugal who'd let you try theirs. Fred from Forumusica has one...and my bandmate also has it... If you ever come with Tino, you're more than welcome to come to our rehearsal room and try it out.

Even with a mere two meters the highend goes out the window.
Plus the static noises can roam free with TB.
Anyways it is just a very tiresome thing, hehe I swear that somedays I just wanna scream over the TB thing
