I few weeks ago, I e-mailed ProCo support asking if was possible to obtain a replacement battery cover for a early-80's RAT. I loaned my RAT to a "friend" years ago. He played club gigs with it for a couple years and then returned it with duct tape holding the battery in.
To my surprise, ProCo's response was, "You'll need the thumbscrew, too, right? Send me your address."
Today, a package arrived from ProCo. Not only did it contain a battery cover and thumbscrew free of charge, but also a pre-printed note saying "We hope the enclosed munchies will make your day a little better!" and 25 miniature Tootsey-Rolls.
That, my friends, is customer service. Everybody should go buy a Rat, and I know what kind of cables I'll be using to wire up the church's sound system.
