Muff Nano overdrive

Re: Muff Nano overdrive

You can send it to me. I love Muffs. I'll use it with my Double Muff and create a Triple Muff.

Re: Muff Nano overdrive

you and I (and ItsABass) share a love for treble. most dudes seem to only desire bass and mids.

I like a guitar to cut. This was not good for me. I have wanted some sort of old school fuzz pedal for a while. Maybe they are not for me. Although I know this was not an ideal fuzz.

At the risk of doing a shameless plug for our host, its hard to be beat the Tweak Fuzz for high-end sizzle.

May look into that. Not sure if fuzz is for me though. I really would like the option of a 60's sound through my HRDx. I know that how it was recorded and overloading inputs was the key. But......

Re: Muff Nano overdrive

Try out the Dunlop Jimi Hendrix fuzz face (blue, NOT red). I think you'd dig it a lot.

Re: Muff Nano overdrive

The Mahoney buzztone looks cool ($60 bin) on the bay. Some fuzzrite clones on there too, they look 60s-ish.

Have a look at Analogman Peppermint Fuzz (at least look at demos) and look at stuff influenced by Tonebenders, Mosrites or the Shin-ea Fuzz. Fuzz Faces are great but sometimes you want that buzzing ear splitting almost octave up (but not as extreme as octave pedals) mid cutting 60s fuzz sound. Also try a BOSS FZ-2 love mine but not really that 60s but cool

Oh well the once I bid on is now mine. Maybe a transistor sounding pedal for revolver? Read they used a lot of transistor stuff around that time. Bidding on that too ;) if I do t like this then it too will be sold.

They plugged straight into the board and overload it. Thats why its tough to find that Revolution sound in a pedal. I'm sure its out there somewhere though.

Yea. Makes me wish I still had that fostex 4 track tape recorder. Got to have that type of sound in a pedal tho. My favorite is still revolver.
