I've got the 5-guitar (which is really 3-guitar if you want any space to avoid dings) and wish I bought the 7.

Re: Multi-guitar stands

I've had one of these for years. I bought it at Musicians Friend at least ten years ago, I haven't seen them on sale in some time though. They do show up on Ebay from time to time. It won't work for V's, Explorers or other odd shapes. It does keep the guitars seperated well so they don't bang into eachother on stage after a few adult beverages..........

Note-all the tubing is solid steel, not hollow pipe...

Re: Multi-guitar stands

I have the 5 guitar one for years. Great stand. Use it at shows and home. The folding makes it great to travel with.

Re: Multi-guitar stands

I also have the 5 guitar stand and it's great. In my opinion it's the best way to store guitars and there is zero risk of them falling over.

Re: Multi-guitar stands

I put the 5 guitar one in my daughter's bands rehersal space (my garage). Work's great 2 strats, 2 basses and a jumbo acoustic. Do have to be careful when accessing a guitar as it is tight.

Re: Multi-guitar stands

i'm in the same situation, just moved from a house to an apart. and i'm also looking at that type of guitar stand.
It should be sturdier and more space saving than buying multiple single guitar stands.

Re: Multi-guitar stands

Hmm ... it seems like a common theme here is "buy one size up from what you think you need". Looks like I'll be getting the 7 guitar model then.

Thanks all.

Re: Multi-guitar stands

Just a little more affirmation, I've got the 3 stand, same brand you posted. I'm very happy with it. It was a gift and I could have taken it back for the 5 but when I think about small stages and limited space at some places, the 3 is perfect for me. If I need to I'll get the 5 down the road sometime.

*Note: assembly required* ;)

Re: Multi-guitar stands

I've been using the three guitar version for awhile with no issues. They fold up and are easily transportable, too.

Only thing you need to be careful about is placing a guitar on the strap of another.

Re: Multi-guitar stands

I never liked the stand-up ones like the one posted. I think I remember seeing one get knocked over at one point in time.

I have an older one at home that holds 4 guitars that sits about six inches tall and lets the guitars lean back and holds them in place.

I think I've had it since around 1993 or so. Still working fine as well.

I've seen those, and my complaint there is that they look like they take up a lot more space than I have. The leaning back aspect won't really work - I need them to stand up straight.

Keep in mind, I won't be taking this thing outside the house - two electrics is all I ever bring to a gig or rehearsal. Also, I don't have kids or pets to knock it over.
