Yessir, check this photo, see if this looks weird to you:
See the funky wire that is hanging out? Not sure what to make of that. The obvious one is the one wire to the pickup.
EDIT: My first thought was that it's a ground but there is nothing in the schem that indicates that. Better wait until I hear from then (when the temp will go way back up :lol: )

So, I'm really bummed. After being so lazy for so long, I decided to do it today (the nordstrand swap) and ran into a host of problems, resulting in bupkiss :lol:
First, they are very helpful as I left a message and they got back to me quickly. I thought I had my concerns dealt with.
Then, after thinking it was an easy swap, it was wired so that there was no way to have the input switch w/o lengthening the wire. Then the battery adapter didn't fit. To shorten the story, even with careful soldering and wrapping with electricians tape, it doesn't work.
The oddest thing of all is that there are times that it worked (by pinching this or that) but nothing consistent. I know there is a ground issue, but really don't know what is causing it. Why didn't I take the blue pill
What I should have done (always such a dummy) is when I noticed that, just maybe ship it back and punt later. But still it should work (even if it's rat's nesty) So, luckily I have a backup 5 stringer.
It'll work itself out one way or the other, but it's now hot and tough to work out in the garage.

Solved! LSS, the bastardized 9v had to be grounded to the "ground" (which is odd)
Anyways, works great. Sorry SD didn't have the one, but it worked out. Case closed.
