Musikraft Charvel style neck....

Musikraft Charvel style neck, maple (i think 1/4 sawn by the very straight grain), rosewood board with mother of pearl inlays (don't think it's real MOP but they look nice). 15" flat radius, 1 11/16" nut width (floyd nut), 2 1/4" heel, 10mm tuner holes, medium C backshape, dual acting truss rod at the heel, 6100 Jumbo frets that have been dressed and leveled from the previous owner. no fretwear to be seen. it has a mounting screw from one tuner broken off from the original owner also. it is stamped "mutt 1" on the back instead of a serial number. nice playing, feeling and looking neck finished with a combo of linseed oil and tru-oil. i'm just not a rosewood fan so i replaced it with an all maple neck.

please note this neck has a 2 1/4" heel so it will fit wayne guitars and Charvel model series guitars! perfect for making a strat head out of a pointy model series charvel!! it will not fit regular fender bodies without routing the neck pocket a bit.

i will polish the frets and oil the board before it ships.

Re: Musikraft Charvel style neck....

WOw I was planning on ordering one of those Musicraft necks but I was under the assumption it was a Charvel Pointy to replace a rosewood with a Maple neck and get it with the stainless steel frets. Without pictures I would have made a huge and costly mistake. Thanks Mike.

Re: Musikraft Charvel style neck....

I went to the Musicraft site after folks were talking about replacement necks for Charvels. I always equate Charvels with pointy headstocks. Musicraft sells Strat and Tele headstocks. I guess the Charvel/Jackson folks were looking to replace their Strat head Charvels NOT the pointy's like what I am looking for.

I actually had the neck speced out and priced and I was going to call Monday to find out where they make these necks (Later found out the company is in NJ so I assume they make them there and not shipped from Korea or something). They didn't show any pics on the site of the Charvel headstock so I was a little leery. I guess with the absence of a pointy headstock on their website, it's safe to assume they don't make pointy headstocks.
