Mustaine Livewire for low tune metal ?

Hi!
Anyone tried these for aggressive low tuned metal ?
Do they stay tight and focused ?
I´m thinking about putting these in my Gibson V, tuned to C.
I never get my V to sound tight enough with lots of attack..
I (actually) like the JB in my Framus Camarillo together with my Cobra stack, perfect match! But in the V it sounds a bit muddy low tuned. I don´t need a super massive low end pickup .. The Cobra has plenty of oomph.
So maybe the active Mustaine set is the way to go with my mahogany V ...?
Problem is I don´t know if the amp handles these active pickups well. I´ve read that EMG´s doesn´t match well with the Cobra.
Any suggestions ?

Thanks!

There have a little bit more clarity for drop tunings than the JBs (actual JBs can go pretty low with a good amp set up etc), bear in mind it's still pretty much an active version of the Jazz/JB set. So they probably wont muddy up, but they will never have the tight low end of a Distortion. Perhaps try the Blackouts instead?

Thanks!
Yes I´ve tried the blackouts ..Way too much low end combined with my Cobra.
I don´t like muddy, hi gain sounds. I like it super-tight and punchy.
That´s why I´m interested in the Mustaine set, cause I really like the JB.
Yes in the right guitar combined with the right stack the JB is superb !! ;)
