Mustang bridge (Danglybanger)

Re: Mustang bridge (Danglybanger)

...that IS a weird problem if the screws no longer grip the saddles... That's not something that should have happened or that I've ever heard of happening either. Maybe the springs got stretched, or the saddles or screws have been worn out somehow?

I'm sure someone has advise on some substance that could be used on the threads to make them grip again... It's a weird problem and I don't know what the cause would be, but that would be the fix most likely... Did you reassemble it EXACTLY as per disassembly? Maybe if you flipped the saddles around or something weird like that...

Re: Mustang bridge (Danglybanger)

I put em back exactly the way they were, infact when i'm inspecting all the saddles closely it looks like that the innotation screws are not very "tight" in the saddles , feels like they are a little narrow ,the threads are fine its the screw that is kinda loose fitting.
Honestly i've read your tutorial on Jags and i'm gonna follow that and stick with the Jag bridge.

Try switching the screws around. If the hole is a bit too wide/stripped, there's an outside chance that some of the other screws are ever so slightly larger and will grip in that hole -- and vice versa if the screw is a bit worn down.

And of course, go to the hardware store and see if they have suitable replacement screws.
