MXR Phase 90 vs MXR Phase 100

I've used the Phase 90 before though I don't own one, pretty simple to use (which I like), so all I really want to know is how the phase 90 compares to the phase 100, which has more things you can fool around with, and which do you prefer personally?

The both have the classic MXR phaser sound but the phase 100 gives you options in terms of degrees of rotation...you can get more deep phase sounds than can be had on the phase 90.

I've compared them a few years ago and felt that the 90 is much better... I played another 90 a while ago and hated it... I guess that quality might be inconsistent...

I'm kinda partial to the 90's as well. As far as new unmodded pedals, you can't go wrong with the EVH model 90 IMHO.

I think the 100 comes w/a built in AC cord. I used to own a 90; it is the only non OD pedal that lasted more than a couple months in my rig. I kept it around for about five yrs. I used it very sparingly, but its simplicity worked well for me when I did use it.

I just never had the chance to use the 100 for more than five minutes at a crack, but I suspect I might have liked it.

Haven't tried the Phase 90 but my dad has an old script phase 100 and while the tones are kinda nice I found them a bit thin (just didn't seem to like the center freq) and the bypass is a major tone suck but I haven't tried many other phasers just heard them but I will hopefully like the Quasar (if I eventually get round to getting one) better.

To me, Phase 90 always has this distortion in the sound that you can't get rid of, whereas the Phase 100 is much better clean, and can do chorusy/tremelo kind of phase. Maybe it's a headroom issue. Just sold my block-logo Ph. 100 on eBay, didn't really have a call for it. Oh, and the EVH 90 is its own animal entirely, sounds very exaggerated, almost like a wah. It was kind of cool, but again, not what I needed.
