Havn't had any first hand experience with either of them, but I've heard the BEST things about the ISP Decimators
Apparently from the creator of the original HUSH units, these things are supposed to do the job better than the HUSH does.
A mate is helping me order one off music123, if all goes well, I should recieve it in a month or so.

i know the ns-2 thins out your tone a lot, but it does the job

The key to any noise suppressor is to not dime everything.
The Boss NS-2 works very well as long as it is set tastefully. Notes rang out like they normally did without the unit and the clarity and tone was intact. I liked it better than the HUSH units I've tried (I owned a Super C) and it was built much better (the Super C felt cheap and it broke down on me). Many other pedals color the tone more: the NS-1, MXR Smartgate (brings out lowend much more), HUSH the pedal, DOD etc.

i use an ns-2. Works wonderfully. It brings out my solo's which isn't a bad thing but it does change the sound a little. I use it with my metal zone to get rid of the crap that thing throws out. They should be sold as a package deal.
I think you'll find it very useful however i have never used the MXR.

Hmmm...I never noticed a change in my tone from my ns-2.
Then again, mine was made in Japan, I know the MIJs are supposed to be better. And it does have a wonderful talent for latting notes sustain naturally. It doesn't cut them off all at once, it fades them out slowly while eliminating the hiss and buzz entirely.

I voted NS-2 since it has always served me well. Havent noticed any thinning of my tone, and the colouring is barely noticable to my ears (though don't usually hear amps straight from guitar since i usually go straight ahead with the NS-2). Just make sure you set it up well and it should do good. Tough pedal, straight forward, you can probs pay more for something better like a rackmount thingy, but NS-2 is fine for my uses.
No experience with the MXR, i think Korn use it though. Whoopee!

I have the MXR, and it does change the tone slightly. I would almost say that while engaged it sucks a little of the bass AND high end off, but I'm bad at explaining things like that. You have to set it pretty high for it to do anything. At first I thought it was kinda cool, and then I used it less and less. It's no longer in my pedalboard.
