Awesome!! congrats! ALWAYS wanted me one of the Phil Collen DT555s I think it was.. Are those knife cuts or finish cracks from maybe climate changes?

That's awesome! I'm about to start work on this monstrosity now that the weather is finally getting better:

Lefty RG neck + BK Painkiller + Egde trem = hella lolz.

That thing looks like a pile of flowers compared to this other dt50 i am refinishing. Wish i had taken photos of it before i started haha

Always kinda liked those old Destroyers. I know some one who had one back in the day. He/they installed flashing, sequencing, Christmas Tree lights, and a strobe light in it with PC board on the front. The lights flashed different shapes and colors and he could adjust the strobe flash to match the tempo of his solo. It was pretty wild!

...then these are indeed finish cracks. My Destroyer has the same thing going on.

Yeah brother vegetable. I just thought it was odd that they are all in that one area? And up close they really do look like cuts. But if you say yours is similar then i am all for that haha,

Awesome, I have a MIJ HHH Sabre & (had) an old DT250 Destroyer that's at my brother's place in parts....both incredible guitars!

I didn't think they made sabres with HHH? I routed the third humbucker into mine myself.

My 76 waiting to be wet sanded. Twas pretty trashed when I got it and as much as I regret the repaint it was just waaaay to trashed. Missing chunks of wood and ****.

Most of the destroyer fans around here have seen this one. 85 DT-555 Marine Burst One of my most proudest finds. Mint...even still has the little rubber rings that go around the knobs. No dings...nothing wrong with it. Just trips me out that this guitar is as new as you can get.



Ibanez made really great guitars back then and it's nice to see more vintage ibby's out there.

Yeah i agree. And that 76 will be awesome i have a good feeling about it ha. The other dt50 project i have has 0 fret wear on the neck its like it was almost unplayed. shame some rookie attempted a fr beaver route.
