For the last ten years i've been playing on my KOCH studiotone, which as you may know is a reallly, really good amp.
I bought it becaquse i wanted to play at home AND reahearse, but it turns out 20W is LOUD and my neighbours didn't like it, and it sucks a lower volumes.
A few years ago the amp started having what i believe are power supply issues.
The volume would start high and after a couple of minutes decrease.
It made the controls unstable and i would get some weird tone variations when playing with the reverb control.
But here's the thing: i don't gig anymore, i only play at home. And somehow, this volume issues works for me because it's pretty much like an attenuator.
Long story short, i can now crank it up to 10, get the good tones and still play at home at a reasonable volume.
So i'm not sure if i should get it repaired, it really works for me. The only drawback is i can't get pristine clean sounds anymore, it gets crunchy pretty quickly.
Anyone has a similar experience or knows about this problem ?
