Damn straight...lol. Gonna see about hooking up a 1/4" jack to the speaker wire from the amp so I can hook it up to the 4x12.JeffB said:ugh.....:blackeye:
you gonna fire up the lead 12? :laugh2:
Gearjoneser said:Anytime it's happened to me, it was usually a result of the bias being way off, and I ruined the tubes. The reason was the bias just drifted off on it's own, over time. I doubt you fried a tranny. You probably just need new power tubes, biased perfectly. Marshalls are a hard amp to destroy.
ErikH said:Hey Chris. Yeah, the Lead 12 slays through the 4x12. It's a combo so I had to put a jack in place. Just a splice of the wires, jack on amp side, plug on speaker side, so now I can use either the built-in speaker or a speaker cab. Great little amps.
Right now I'm leaning towards letting it sit as-is, getting a Crate Powerblock for the headroom and then saving up for a Mission Aurora. I'm getting an Aurora anyway, it's just a matter of the fundage. Then when I can, take care of getting it up and running again. It's just bad timing that it went down when it did.
