Actually the PRS PTC department did a similar fill using marine epoxy. A customer gave them a PRS Standard that was poorly routed aftermarket with a recess for up pull on the trem.

Rather than replacing it with wood, they filled the area with marine epoxy, then re-routed the factory trem route.

Looks like I'm hunting for marine epoxy this weekend

Nice! Always had a sweet spot for the black and yellow one. Spent many an hour lookin at the pics of it on the second album, which was my first VH album. Got it for Christmas. I saw them play soon after that at the fair grounds in Eugene Or in 1980 in support of Woman and Children First. That show was the first show of that tour, and was my first REAL concert! (Burl Ives don't count) I was TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY!

C Rich Mockingbird Pro X Goldtop currently has EMG 81/85 currently trying to decide what medium gain seymour duncan pickups to put in it. BC Rich Stealth 7 has EMG 81/85 7 string set but I've got a set of Seymour Duncan Pegasus/Sentient on order. Custom Moniker Guitars Telecaster has SH6 and Hot Rails combo and sounds amazing.

I think I'd use a piece of wood instead of Bondo. Bondo is not a very good tonewood.

I have been using bondo for years. The stuff is very dense and makes a great filler.

OMG, never saw archtop Mockingbird ... and gold top! Beautiful! How about '59/Custom hybrid in the bridge and Demon or PG in the neck?

I have been using bondo for years. The stuff is very dense and makes a great filler.

I have the stuff @ home, but it's all dried out in the tube...WTF?:crazy: It does work good but I would recommend putting the tube in a zip-lock bag so it don't dry out on you like it did with me.
