Some of you may remember this guitar. I got her last year, looking like this:
She was the best playing guitar I'd ever had, but the EMG's had to go. I had her pickupless on my wall for the last eight months. It physically pained me looking at her like that - a reminder that I was broke and jobless.
Well, I finally got a job a month ago, and to celebrate, I thought I'd give the infamous Pearly Gates set a try.
Now:
For now, crappy cell pics. Tomorrow, I break out the DSLR.
I wired the switch in backwards, the bridge's tone isn't working, and I need to redrill the top strap button hole - but hot damn, I forgot how amazing this guitar is. It makes me play better, and it's easy to play better on it than my telecaster. And even though I haven't even adjusted the pickup height or anything they already sound great. The bridge stays in tune like a mother****er - I do things I could only imagine on it.
In short, my dream guitar. Then why am I buying another guitar this month? Stay tuned to find out!
EDIT: is it just me, or does it look like the late 70's Kramer that never was?
