Two closed-back Cannabis Rex-loaded 1x12 cabs with custom blue snakeskin tolex and a removable back panel to operate as a 33% open cab if I want to.

Dude only took about 2 weeks to build these after receiving the tolex and speakers from me. He does great work!

Now I'm patiently waiting for guitarfeak to work on converting my old Traynor YCV50 Blue from a combo amp into a head. That will take some more time but these cabs are ready to be shipped to me. I'll take my own photos and share them when they arrive.

Indeed! I love mesh steel grilles on the cabs he builds. He builds my bass cabs that way too.

For anyone looking for a good custom cab guy, Greg is the dude. Full disclaimer: I am not getting a discount and Greg never asked me to do this. I am simply sharing it because of all the cabs I've used, which include GK, Harte, Marshall, Yorkville/Traynor, Fender, Crate, Ashdown, and many other guitar/bass cabs over the years, Greg's are the best IME and they are so well-built. They sound great.

Plus, you can customize almost anything about his cab builds upon request. His base pricing for each cab is more reasonable than you'd think. He upcharges for customizations and if you want custom tolex, he tells you how much to order and where to send it. I always send/order speakers to him for each cab. He has some speaker options available, but I am picky about using Eminence speakers. I love them.

So, excluding the cost of the custom tolex, speakers, and shipping, these two larger 1x12 cabs with all options mentioned/pictured were only about $308 each.

Total shipping for both 1x12 cabinets was only $119. I'm excited to get these cabs!

I'm going to try to record some stuff later this year. I have not recorded anything since 2016. My Focusrite 2i2 is dusty,

I need to order a second SM57 mic too to capture both amps I run. I also need to see if my old Presonus license is still active. So... it's not real high on my priority list until later this summer/autumn. I don't even know if my old desktop recording PC even boots up anymore.

I'll get there eventually.

My next cab order through Greg is already in the works. I have an old Kustom 2x15 8ohm bass cab loaded with two Eminence neo mag 3015 Kappalite speakers IIRC.

The story there is when I first moved back from Greece back in December 2015, I was trying to build my rigs back to what I had in the US before moving to Greece in 2013.

Back in my band and gigging days, I had a Traynor YCV50 Blue for guitar and a GK 1001-RB running through a 2x15 Hartke and 2x10 Hartke for bass.

With some patience, I landed a used YCV50 for just over 200 bucks on ebay in March/April of 2016 and I landed a rack with a GK 1001RB-II along with a power conditioner and Korg pitchblack Pro rack tuner for about $700 on Reverb.

Then, I found a local seller selling an empty Kustom 2x15 bass cab without handles for $40 cash on Craigslist. I ordered two Eminence Kappalite 15s and loaded them in the Kustom. Unfortunately, the cab makes a lot of unwanted vibration noise at medium to high volume levels.

So, for the last decade the Kustom 2x15 has sat unused in an unfinished area of my house. My plan is to start finishing that area of the house in June and I'd like to rip the speakers out of the Kustom, send them to Greg, and have him build me a ported 2x15 on casters with blue snakeskin tolex. I'm hoping to get the wheels moving in May on that cab.

After that, I still want Greg to build me a 4x10 with a horn and a ported 1x18 (not on casters) without a horn. Then, I will order the new GK Legacy RB amp to run two bass amps. One through the 2x15 and 1x18 voiced for low end and one through the 4x10 with horn and my 1x12 with horn voiced with a little more mids.

This should be the rig I use for most of my life once finished. Same with the guitar rig I'm close to completing. Once I get my YCV50 back in the form of a head, my guitar rig will be complete: HK GrandMeister 40 Deluxe through a 2x12 and a YCV50 head through two stacked 1x12s.

Anyone want my old Kustom 2x15 cab? It's all wood for the frame, so somebody could.probably solve the vibration issue. You can have the cab for free if you pick it up or pay for shipping.
