The burst looks fairly awkward in that first picture, not a gradual enough fade, but the other pictures make it look fine.

Yeah...I could see that. Granted, you are talking to a guy who's favorite guitar is a Norlin VS clownburst! :eyecrazy:

(I think it'll look sweet with some creme O rings, reflectors, and some nickel plated pups and h/w...)

Well...I s'pose you could always shoot him an email.

Just a bit of background on the guy...for years he was a custom woodworker and cabinetmaker who did guitars mostly as a hobby. With the way the economy's going...he sort of figured "Why NOT build guitars?" I'll admit I was one of the first folks to take a chance on him after he showed me a few prototypes. Really nice guy, and the guitar he's building for me will probably be completed in about 8 weeks...

Doug did a mockup while the finish is still setting up...

The fretboard isn't rosewood, but wenge...(and the fretwork isn't done yet)
