My Custom Shop & Others (Dont See This Every Day)

I figure I enjoy looking at gear so much, might as well show some stuff to the other guitar-porn junkies out there. I have several guitars, but I'm just going to show off my newest 3 for now.

This first one is a handmade Custom built for me by a fantastic luthier out in California. It's currently featured on his website where you see some of the awesome features we implemented. I do wish I had opted for different pickups though, but the EMG 707 is okay.

This next one is a Jackson I just picked up. This is all-mahogany, neck-thru, ebony board, with a SD "Iommi" pickup.

Finally we have a Custom Parker Fly Deluxe, the best guitar I've ever played.

Sorry if this post is too long or whatnot. I have a few other nice ones but I don't have very good picks of them or anything.

That green bond rhoads really is an eyesore, sorry to say but the red is much more appealing :p

I can see why you'd want something other than the 707 :p

Re: My Custom Shop & Others (Dont See This Every Day)

It's not an eyesore at all, it's just a cheesy picture. In person it looks really cool.

I'd want something other than the 707 because the 707 is really bassy and kind of flat sounding. Active pickups in general kind of suck. I wish I had opted for a DiMarzio Blaze or an Invader 7/Custom 7.

Re: My Custom Shop & Others (Dont See This Every Day)

thats the bond picture from v-wall right? im planning on buying the red bevel one from there.

oh and if you think the 707 is too bassy, you can try an 81-7. its the same sized housing and all, so itd fit right in

1) Yes it is from there. I ordered it from Music123 I haven't taken an actual picture with it yet. If I were you I would buy it from DrumCityGuitarLand instead, they are selling those for 1099 (everywhere else has it for 1189). Plus they will give it a great setup to your tuning/gauge/etc preference for free. I love that place.

2) I plan on swapping the 707 out with the 81-7, I was aware of that, but thanks for the recommendation. I would much prefer to put a passive pickup but I don't want to butcher my beloved Custom piece for that :)

Re: My Custom Shop & Others (Dont See This Every Day)

is it 1099 without case though? i think the difference in price might be that the 1189 includes a case

Re: My Custom Shop & Others (Dont See This Every Day)

those KXK V's look awesome. I wonder if he can put passives in his guitars if you sent them to him.

Re: My Custom Shop & Others (Dont See This Every Day)

man that green ESP with the hockeystick headstock looks ****in awesome

Re: My Custom Shop & Others (Dont See This Every Day)

i am kind of a plane jane sunburst strat/les paul guy (hope i dont get flogged for that hahaha) but with that being said, those are COOOL!

i really liked the red parker, that is a nice paint job, was that something they did as a special order or did u have someone do it for you?

NICE MAN NICE!

Re: My Custom Shop & Others (Dont See This Every Day)

Damn, that Jackson Rhoads looks great. I love the bright green bevels, I don't know how anyone could see that as an eyesore at all!!

Re: My Custom Shop & Others (Dont See This Every Day)

oh no!! What happened to the finish on that parker?

Re: My Custom Shop & Others (Dont See This Every Day)

You know you're just adding to the "pointy guitar" stereotype, don't you? :laugh2:

Those are nice. I would have never thought I'd say it, but I like the Parker better than the Jackson. Looks like a great collection.
