my ESP Viper

I picked this ESP Viper up last year off eBay. It's become my favorite guitar so I decided to upgrade it a little with a Tonepros locking gold bridge and tail piece and locking Hipshot tuners with vintage kluson style buttons. I thought the tuners would be a direct replacement but the screw hole is off a little so I just used the mounting plates that come with the hipshots. They have come up with a way to mount them without drilling, it seems to work ok. Re: my ESP Viper

wow, looks amazing, thats how i like my guitars the most, matte black. looks very good, enjoy!

Re: my ESP Viper

Gold trim on black is always a classic good look.

Now you've got to get some decent pups with gold covers and some gold vol & tone knobs.

I've never been a fan of ESP (Especially the body shape of the Viper), but you've greatly improved the looks of your Viper.

Re: my ESP Viper

That looks real sharp.

Can you swap emg covers? I know they have gold ones these days..

Looked better before Imo [emoji14]

Great looking guitar mate, I would love to have one some day.

Nice! The gold really woke up the appearance of that guitar. And I think the stock pickups are killer for its intended purpose.

The weird SG balance takes more than a little getting used to, but it's a great axe.

Re: my ESP Viper

The Emgs aren't going anywhere, if anything I'm thinking about stocking the Hetfield set in it

Re: my ESP Viper

I like the matte black finish too but I'm trying to polish it up because where my arm rubs it it makes it shiny in that spot

Re: my ESP Viper

Very nice. I love satin finishes, actually my very first guitar was an LTD with a satin black finish so perhaps it all stems from there.

Also I second the motion for gold pickup rings.

Re: my ESP Viper

I tried a cream pickup ring and didn't like the way it looked, I may look into gold rings

Re: my ESP Viper

The EMG's arent decent?

It's true that I'm not much of an active pup fan...I like passives.

But...I was mainly referring to the aesthetics (since you can't put gold covers on EMGs). Perhaps gold rings would be enough...I'd definitely like to see more gold on that guitar.
