My first song ever

I recorded this last night just for fun with my drumming brother. we only took 1 try, so there are like 1000 messups. i had the drum go into my guitar amp so it made it really hard to hear my guitar harmonics, so thats why they are soo bad. Next time im recording individual. What is the best way to mic a drum set with normal singing mics?

lol i played the bridge at the end of the song so the order is obviously wrong.

there was like a transition bridge thing in the middle that i missed the not i was going for 2 times in a row. (you will notice) lol

ill post the finished song in a week or 2 with vocals bass and 2nd guitar.

ive been playing guitar for less than a year and this is the first song ive ever written, so i need some input.

all the guitar parts are good. Drums need work like you said. Pretty good for a first take though.

Wow, for how long you've been playing, that is some really good tone and riffage! It's catchy and sounds like it'll flow really well even without vocals after some practice. You are SO lucky to have a drummer brother. Keep it up and keep us posted!

thanks man, ive been playing since the end of last summer. i only pulled my guitar out like once a week though during the school year, which was lame i should have been practicing more.

yeah my brother is amazing at drums (he did really bad on that song though for the recording) but today we played it together again and he made up a complete original beat that sounds flat out amazing.

How are you liking the GT-8? I had the GT-6 for a coupla months maybe...three years ago? I really liked the FX on that sucka, so much control! Kinda wish I didn't sell it. Have you played the GT-6?

im loving the gt-8! i bought an HC to rid the fizz. and the only thing that would make me leave it would be a Mesa Boogie dual or tripple rect. but those are thousands above my pricerange.
Thanks for the compliments ill post the finished song with vocals and all in like a week if its done.
