Hello. This is my review of "Humbucker From Hell". Hope you like it

I can almost hear you asking how it compares to another unique DiMarzio design: the Bluesbucker
Aw man, you caught me 🙃

Based on your review, I think a Bluesbucker bridge, HFH neck could be pretty cool.

“Pros

· Exceptional clarity for a neck-position humbucker

· Tight low end with no muddiness on wound strings

· Very fast and precise pick response

· Excellent note separation, even in higher registers

· Brighter and more articulate than typical PAF-style neck pickups

· Hum-free operation with higher output than a Strat single-coil

· Cleans up beautifully with the volume pot

· Works very well for fast alternate picking and shred-oriented playing

· Pairs nicely with medium-to-high output bridge humbuckers

· Particularly effective in guitars with neck-position clarity issues”

Agreed! Great neck pup.
Don’t get why all the of Strat pup comparisons, it’s not a single coil.
Nice review but site header takes up over half the page on my iPad making for a not so good format.

Because there are lots of people with the expectations to have humbucker full of a strat single coil sound fully. You know, official info makes you think this way.

About site design, i don't get it. Everything is fine with my chrome and my android phone. But on firefox, it isn't either.

:)

I thought it was okay. They should have called it PAF Pro 2 or PAF 2 if they were following their naming convention (Super Distortion -> super 2). Its just a moderate output humbucker with less bass and more treble.

It didn't sound like a sc in any way. Neck pickups I enjoy more: liquifire, paf pro, fred, and air norton. I guess the HFH is near the bottom of my dimarzio picks for neck position where you are using it to shred. But then again with a different amp or guitar it might shine.

Peoples reaction with HFH is kindo "love it or hate it". Some folks really like it (like me), some don't. Depending on the guitar, other pickups, amp and other gear etc. What really matters and objective is a humbucker with more highs works well on the guitars with neck position mud ;)

its great to have options, and the hfh has its place for sure. as long as its in the neck, cant imagine id enjoy one in the bridge, and im a vintage output strat pup guy :D

@nienturi thanks for looking into it! Different on my tablet now, but not better by any stretch. The fonts and other elements are huge and I can't resize / shrink them. Switching to portrait just make them smaller, but they are still way too big. Looks like the existing site theme thinks I'm on a phone and I need very, very big fonts which is not the case 🙂
