My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place

Xeromus

Tone Ninja
Schecter C-1 FR. 25.5" scale, grover tuners, original floyd rose, jumbo frets, set neck, sculpted neck joint, 24 frets, mahogany.

I didn't think I'd go for another schecter but this guitar has everything on my list that I wanted in an instrument and it's relatively cheap too. Will be ordering one shortly.

Awesome! Schecter's kick ass!

Although, an SL2-MAH would be just as lovely ;).

No doubt, only thing I don't dig about jacksons are the 80's style. Not my thing so much. besides with the price of the schecter I'll still have enough money left over for something else.

Re: My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place

It's a nice guitar for the price... Schecter have a one up on other guitars in that price range because they use nicer hardware.

I've not played the FR, but I've played a C1 classic for a brief period of time, and I quite liked it.

Re: My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place

see...what did i tell you via PM man...go buy a schecter...it pays to listen to me sometimes lol...i knew by your past guitars what you like and what you don't in a guitar for the most part and by what we have talked about via PM also...so i'm pretty sure you'll love the schecter, i love mine!!

Very sweet.

I don't know if I could get used to the "no inlays" though.

That sounds like what I'm looking for. Can I steal your idea? LOL

Re: My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place

I'm going to see if I can snag last year's model from someone that still has it in stock, I much prefer the inlays and control config on this:

Re: My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place

if the new model (3 knob) is anything like my 3 knob schecter C-1 XXX i'd get that one for sure b/c you have volume, volume, tone with a push pull coil split on the tone for both pickups which is great to have. just an FYI.

good point. I wish they kept the dot inlays though.

Re: My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place

bah...inlays are for sissys...lol J/K...but seriously though, that's what side dots are for...when you get lost hehehehehe...

no inlays here and i wouldn't have it any other way!

and if you want inlays on it my luthier can do whatever you can think up with no problem.

Re: My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place

Actually I don't mind NO inlays at all, my parker was like that and I didn't mind. I'm just not sure I'm digging that 12 fret inlay. It looks like a bird flew by and pooped on it! splat!

Re: My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place

ahhh i gotcha...then why not do something like wattage did on "morticia" the warlock bass....

just give it a cool name or your name/initials or something cool like that...that can be done real easily.

Re: My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place

mike, not a bad idea!

how much does your guy down on LI charge for something like that?

Re: My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place

i'll find out for you...i'm not sure off hand...can't be too crazy, don't worry.

oh and along the lines of wattage's idea since it's all black and chrome you can call her "Elvira" that may be cool!!

I was thinking of putting "raspberry jelly dildo dong" on the 12 fret. Do you think that'll fit?

:laugh2:

Re: My ideal guitar has been found in an unlikely place
