I wanted to make two semi hollow body LP's with matching woods, matching tops and backs and inlays I really wanted to try out myself again. So... Yeah, here you go :)

What's the wood on the brown one? I love it.

Walnut :) If you look closely, you can see that I cut the top(S) from the same boards as the backs.

The walnut has a spruce core with a walnut neck; the maple has a spanish cedar core with a maple neck.

I thought it was walnut. Just thought i'd ask to make sure.
With so much walnut, is that guitar pretty heavy, even though it's a semi?

Actually... no. The walnut is 3.5kg exactly. That's 7.13lbs. The maple is exactly the same. The 2 dutchwood lp's are a full kilo heavier. 4.6kg/10lbs.

The lilac is 7.15lbs, 3.6kg.

I used to watch Star Trek a lot when I was a kid. The inlays are very cool and the wood is gorgeous on both of these!

Those are pretty. I think Nugent when I see those. I know he traditionally plays a bigger guitar but the F holes are what does it. A nice look.

I'll be remaking these later this year. Same inlay, same body shape but slightly different construction, different pickups and other appointments. My Winter 2020 Collection will be the best and most consistent I can make and be.
