This is after the basic color coat...fluorescent pink.

These are after the ultraviolet pearl burst, inlays (stickers), and several clear coats.

And finally after about a dozen or more additional clear coats, sanding lightly between every other coat. I allowed 1-2 weeks curing time between every 2 coats before sanding and application of 2 more coats. then about a month before final sanding and polishing. The clear is thick enough to totally hide any surface differences around the inlays.
I made the natural bone compensated nut this time in a little different way than I normally do.

The pickups are there temporarily so I could intonate and get a general idea of how it would sound. I've got "H" style chrome pup covers and mounting rings on order. Who knows when they'll get here...probably another 3 weeks or so. I'll post pics after I get them installed. I also think I'll add a mini switch to toggle between series and parallel on the bridge pup (currently an Invader but I'm considering an Alt 8).

Yeah, for sure!!
In fact, after I got the pink coat on I envisioned Prince playing it. And I couldn't get that picture out of my head all the time I was working on it.

Well, I don't know. I tried it with black mounts and cream mounts and it just didn't look quite right. Same thing with the pups...I didn't like black pups, cream didn't quite work either. The pink pups aren't the right shade of pink...doesn't fit with the color scheme of the guitar. It's very shiny and there's a bit of chrome already and lots of bling. I think a little more chrome will be the only thing that really works.
But I certainly respect your opinion. Man, you've come up with some great ideas for your guitars.

It's extremely comfortable to play. Small and light, very well balanced, can hardly even tell that it's strapped on.
I got the idea for the color when checking a young patient (dental) after he had used pink plaque disclosing solution. His entire mouth was bright pink with purple on the back of his tongue. When I saw it, I immediately knew that was going to be the colors of my next guitar build.
It's extremely comfortable to play. Small and light, very well balanced, can hardly even tell that it's strapped on.

that thing is amazingly beautiful. Different...in a very good way. when i saw the pics of the primer coats it made me think of a cloud. Almost like prince's schecter. nice work. Love those pickups as as well.
