My les paul frets look green!

Just noticed that my les paul frets have this greenish tinge to them...do frets get green or would there just be some weird light reflecting around in my room....hahaha i probably just asked the stupidest question and havent even taken it out of the light to see if they look normal somewhere else :smack:

Re: My les paul frets look green!

It sounds like you have a Pauly with the vintage neck inlay. They come with white pearl or "vintage" pearl inlays. I like the greenish tinted ones myself.

Re: My les paul frets look green!

nah its definitely not a vintage inlay one, i mean the actual frets themselves had a greenish tinge to them, the inlays are sparkling white pearl

its a standard not a classic, but i think it might just be the light in my room ;)

Re: My les paul frets look green!

I found a guitar in a basement once (to cut a long story short :)); the frets had a green tinge to them. My guitar tech told me it was mold or fungus which had been thriving in the damp basement; he treated it with some anti mold stuff and cleaned it up, and now it's perfect!

A bit of polish or 0000 Steel Wool will restore them to their former glory ;)
