Was that Joe Walsh?

That looks like a cool amp, what's it go inside?

Re: My new addition to the land of misfits.....

Cool. Looks newer than those pics (love the one of Slash). What's the story?

Re: My new addition to the land of misfits.....

The amp is a 1970s, it is just crazy clean, almost unbelieveably. It looked new when I opened it... It was an underground amp from the LA rock scene, built by Bob Rissi. He stopped building in the early 80s and only recently got back into his amps again. It is a very late 70s hard rock vibe. It reminds me of a warmer Laney AOR, a little less gain. It currently has 6550, but I plan to switch to el34 as it was built for either option. 2 6550 and 3 12AX7, master volume model.

I have wanted one for a long time and finally made the move, I love off brand stuff and this has the LA metal scene heritige going on.

I think it could use just a little loosening up, so I will tinker with a cap or two.

Re: My new addition to the land of misfits.....

It had been floating on Craigs list for a bit, also on ebay. Because of its lack of name recognition, it never sold. So I contacted the seller, very cool guy and we made a trade.... I saw the Lita poster a few years back and ever since, I knew I wanted to add one to the collection.

Awesome brother! Enjoyed the pictures....Joe Walsh is still one of my all time favorite all around most versatile guitar players behind Jeff Beck! :laugh2:

Re: My new addition to the land of misfits.....

They pop up from time to time, kinda like Carlsbro, you don't see any forever and then all of a sudden there are 3 at one time...

I threw a 12At7 in V3 and ordered some lower value filter caps, as this thing is very tight. I really want to loosen it up a bit, once that happens, I think it is gonna be cool.

I love all those old pics, definately gives it a quirky heretige!
