I haven't had time to listen to much of this unfortunately this week Ben. My car has been in and out of the shop and juggling a weird work week schedule due to that and weather.

But so far, I dig what I hear. It speaks to my inner geek, and my inner guitar player personalities

Man this is one good album!
Funny enough I am listening to old Police and other early eighties stuff, and this fits right in.....has that funny timeless feel going on.
Classic stuff and well made tunes.

Really like it alot, very interesting stuff.....
And the soundscapes.....
I like it loud

This is music I grew up with, but it has a timeless feel as well.
Old sounds but strangely modern at the same time!

If you guys dig proggy and interesting stuff that goes further than most, get this baby!

Totally love the production!

I am really enjoying this album Ben.

I suck at music reviews, but I am hearing all kinds of things that hit on my fave bands and music. Also the production and vocals are awesome. I think this is a more professional and polished (in a good way) sounding release than the first As Follows...which had that more raw 1st release vibe...which I also dig.

This just sounds like you were more confident.

I have always wore my influences on my sleeve as it were -- but it's more of an interpretation than a direct copy (I hope!!). For example, in Sailing By Moonlight, I knew I wanted an early 80s Rush/Police arpeggiated thing with a late 70s Yes triad rhythm shape and a mid-80s LA metal type of solo section at the end.

Thanks for your kind words about the production, that is a direct result of the 6 month music production course I took on mixing. I would just roll whatever I was learning into whatever song I was working on.

The first AF album was still influenced by the Phantom Isle vibe, and I think it shows. A big part of that was my collaboration with Luigi, PI's drummer. Breaking out with new collaborators expanded the pallette of what I could do. (That continues to this day. As amazing a drummer as Claire is, I am collaborating with a different drummer for the next release)
