I've been eying the Shiva for a while now, and after listening to various clips online I've been determined to try out one out. Problem is, the closest Bogner dealer (that isn't the Alchemist model) is in Austin! So, what does a guy do? Make a road a trip to Austin, of course!
After trying the Shiva I was sufficiently pleased, enough to the point of purchase, but the salesman insisted that he liked the 20th anniversary edition better, and said I really should try that one out before I decide to make the purchase. So I plugged in...and I agreed! The gain section has much more balls than the regular shiva, making it perfect for the sound I want to create. The clean section sounded exactly the same, so I really see this model as being an upgrade over the regular Shiva, for not much extra cost.
While I was there I met up with texasguitarslinger, and we hung out for an hour or two and had a few beers. Good dude.
