Our very own Brent (DAMN YOU!) got me GASing for a Kramer of course ('don't talk to Brent, he'll give you GAS!' 'naaah he won't'.. I should always listen :smack: ) so I thought I'd not get one, but assemble one... So here are the details. I have a 630 dollars budget, and I already have the electronics.
Baretta '84 body shape, direct mounted humbucker, the classic Pierre electronics (more on that below), Banana headstock, all maple, 12'' radius routed for a R2 nut, OFR in chrome with R2 nut (...). I am not sure at all about the color but I'm thinking candy red. Yes, I've gotten a lot more into EVH lately and DAMN... he never fails to amaze me and I'm pissed at him for having done the 5150 paint scheme before me because I want it! :32:
The Pierre electronics:
1 mini 3 way toggle wired on/off/on with bypassed volume control, a single volume control, and a mini 3 way on/on/on wired as series/split/parrallel. Still simple, yet with just about every sound combination of sounds I'd want.
For the body, I'm as of now undecided between a KnE body (has anyone heard of it?) which with my specs will cost 100 dollars, or a Southeast guitar one which will cost me 175. I've heard great things about SE guitars but for a poor student like, it's a big jump in price and I'll have to think about it. The neck is almost taken care of (customwoods, I already have dibs on one), same as the Floyd.
Now of course the problem... When I'm ordering the body I'm going to have it shipped to Brent or somewhere else to have it finished. But... I have no idea whether I want graphics or just standard finish... So give me GAS! Show me your graphics Baretta shaped guitars! Or different colors.
