This would be a good candidate for a mini/Firebird neck in a 1 ply gloss black beveled 5 hole guard.

Jeremy ... mahogany with a madagascar rosewood fretboard
the body is also mahogany, but it's a lighter color
Joe ... I like the idea of a Firebird in the neck, but this is getting a Lil '59 in the bridge and a Cool Rails for strat in the neck, and 5-way super switch ... I guess that makes it a bit of a hot rod!
