Er, like, is this the fourth or fifth time that GF has started a "here is all of my gear" thread? This theme seems to come around every month.

Makes things easier on my CTS so I dont have to go down to 9s.

I play 11's in Eb and Drop Db and top wrapping them keeps the tensions but they bend so much easier. At least the placebo effect works if nothing else.

I don't know about "out class" that is a difficult thing to gauge. I do know the kid gets an amazing tone with what he has and his rig has a lot of flexibility. I you feel it is out classed because he has a lot of budget gear then kudos for the kid for getting it done without dropping thousands of dollars.

Thanks Securb! I told you that you don't need to drop a lot of $ just to have great tone. That's what I tried to explain in a Facebook group, but they said my amplifier was crap.

some people spend heaps and still have crappy tone ;)

Re: My setup at the moment. Post what you're playing through right now.

I don't seem to have the money troubles I used to have when I was a young guitar player, but I see nothing wrong with buying what you can afford and making the best out of it. Really hate that some people won't even take a listen to some things based on pre-concieved bias toward certain brands or models. I don't even know what outclassed means. They got a more expensive, better known rig? So what. The only thing that matters really is how well you like your rig and it inspires you to play more. I would only switch up if it didn't satisfy, which for me is a constant chase of tone because one day I think I love it like it was the best tone I've ever heard and the next day, meh. I use multiple preamps and a couple different amps specifically to swap up and satisfy tone chasing. After two weeks I might end up playing the exact same setup as two weeks earlier and again think it is the end all of good tone, only to keep repeating the cycle. I even throw in modelers too to get this constant tone adhd under control.
