That's a good looking board.

That's a good looking board.

Thanks!

It's been a long time to get a board dialed in that, for my needs has no compromises and is useful in low volume gig situations, rehearsal situations, at home in my basement as well as no volume restriction gigs.

I've been real close to this set up for a long time but this set up is the best yet for me.

I wish I could say that a board that size would be perfect for me, but my mind is always thinking about how I can make something better than I would end up trying to do new things with the same pedals, and then giving up and buying the pedal I need, but still keeping the old one (just in case). The POD HD500 works perfect for me right now and it allows me to change things up when I want.

Trust me, I wish the board could be smaller but the pedals that sound "right" to me happen to in some cases be big ass, ugly analog pedals and those take up space!!!

Playing Jazz on the neck pickup (Duncan Jazz, Ironically), JC120 setting, w/ a touch of delay

Plugged in here is my Warmoth Soloist into a Deluxe Reverb RI, through one of my pedalboards (instead of one big one I have five small ones):

Sure thing!

It's really the worlds most over grown tuner but here goes...

Straight into a wah wah pedal (in the pic is a Wilson Signature in a Vox shell) then it hits a Chicago Iron Octavia then a KR Mega Vibe after the Vibe it hits the 4 button switch then the Diamond Tremolo then the Echoplex to the amp.

The switcher handles all my dirt.

There are 4 loops the first one is just an out to the tuner.

The next one has the Sam Ash Fuzzz Boxx in it (which is modded by BMF) then the Zvex SHO then the Zvex Box of Rock the 3rd loop has my Fuzz Face in it and the fourth loop is empty right now.

The point of all that is to be able to switch from boost or OD straight to the Fuzz Face with one switch stomp.

The beauty of this set up for me is that in low volume situations I run the drive on the BoR with the amp cleanish but if I can crank the amp I use the Boost on the BoR to run the amp a bit more.

The SHO is great as a boost into a boost for a second stage of boost or to bump up Strats/Teles in a live setting so they can keep up with buckers.

Also with the Sam Ash there I can run it with boosts to really get nuts if I want to!!

It looks complex but it's really easy to run and does everything I need it too!

Christian! :D

How do you like the ReWinds??

I put a set of ReWinds from James in my R8 a while back and couldn't be happier!!!

I feel the same. If one knows what a good T/late pat# sounds like, and likes that sound, they will be mighty impressed w/ James'. I have no desire to change them. Excellent pickups, for a very reasonable price. Once I am able to get another 335, another set of James' Ttops are going in. On my current set, the bridge is on the high side of historical accuracy...7.8K model from his post 72 Page set. He wound the neck around the mean to match. He will wind them a bit lighter for a 335 neck slot if you want. Mine are unpotted.

Which PAF set did you get? Late Pats and Ts are my thing, but I would love to try his creme brulee and Page Pre72 set.

Yessir!

I've been asked about the switcher so many times I've thought about doing a video it just feels too self centered!

Like I said, it looks like s lot of stuff but it's really not much.

We emailed a few times then I just called him.

I told him what I had and what I liked and didn't like about them. We also talked about other pickups and guitars I liked then he made a suggestion...

I went with it 100% and I'm blown away...

They are butyrate bobbins, non potted, long un oriented alnico 5 magnets and a wind that makes people question it until they hear it!!!!

7.4k bridge and 8.25k neck...

The bridge will go from Tele snap and almost jangle if you want it to full on snarly rock crunch.

The neck has this amazing fat chime that hits warm jazzy and goes on to the best woman tone I've ever from a new pickup.

I've had a bunch of PAF style pickups over the years, most of them were good, some were very good and a couple of them were down right special but James has given me something nobody else has...pure, real and completely authentic PAF tone in a new pickup!

Those sound fantastic!

James' pre 72 set is similar, substantially more resistance neck. Not as offset as your set though..He messes with the magnet strength so they balance out on the page set. I suspect that is involved with yours as well.

Dude has a fantastic ear and a real talent for winding pickups.

Sorry for the hijack, folks.
