My Start Mod. help! :)

hi everyone!

help me to wire a new mod for my strat-copy guitar.

my PUs:
Neck: Lil'59
Middle: Duckbucker
Bridge: Hot Rails

all Humbuckers are 4 conductor.

thats what i want:
(switch positions)
1. Neck PU only
2. Neck Split + Middle
3. Middle Only
4. Neck + Bridge
5. Bridge Only

(tone and volume)
1. Master Volume
2. Master Tone
3. Bridge Volume only (will this effect on Hot Rails Sound?)

There's two ways to do this: the expensive way, or the cheap and easy way - with a small concession.

1. Use a Superswitch. (Around $15.00)

2. Reverse the neck and middle hot wires on the 5-way. (Along with a simple mod to the wiring.)
That will give you:

1. middle
2. neck split and middle
3. neck
4. neck and bridge
5. bridge

Notice that the only thing different is we've reversed the #1 and #3 positions. This is how I have my Genny wired.

mmmmm sorry but how i'll get neck split(!!??) + middle if i only change hot wires in 5 way switch?

Sorry, I was still working on the diagram.

Do this:

I don't have the switch in front of me, so I can't remember one thing. The red/white combo of the neck pup will go to either A or B. Just look closely at the switch and see which terminal is shorted to the middle when in the #2 notch position.

Edit: When I say "shorted to the middle" I mean shorted to the terminal labeled "ground".

btw - In the above diagram, I'm pretty sure its "B" where you want to connect the red/white combo of the neck pup. I normally keep a 5-way on my desk, but I installed it into my Start. :laugh2:
