My Tele rocks....

Re: My Tele rocks....

sweet phraseology as always mr marin :D ... great tone as always too ..

sounds as though your playing is taking on an edgier, bluesier aspect as time passes ... very nice indeed ... is this a mistaken impression on my part (maybe you are only posting these clips but still playing other material too)? or is it intentional on your part?

either way, it's all good and i'm still waiting for the first CD release :)

how do you compare the kinmans to the bardens?

Re: My Tele rocks....

Thanks mate!:)

I don't really know....I mean, the good thing about not playing the guitar for a profession is that you can basically do what you want and when you want.

I typically don't play at all for a few days at all because I am travelling or working and then during the weekends I try to find a couple of hours to sit down and play. I have a 2-year old son and a sales job so some of you might know how much free time I get during the week.

I don't have any presets, I like a lot of different styles. When I play, I just find a backing to play over and tweak a sound I like at the time and play....and something comes out. Sometimes it's better than others and sometimes it's not. I try to post most of them.

I've always liked to hear "raunchy" and "edgy" solo's....essentially, for me, a solo needs to have a lot of guts. I don't care for player who may be very sophisticated technically but are somehow "sterile". This doesn't mean that I am against "fast" players, I just like the ones who have guts.

Re: My Tele rocks....

well, friend - the 'guts' you are aiming for surely comes out boldy in your playing ... always a distinctive 'voice' in all your posted tunes

thanks for sharing them

Re: My Tele rocks....

All around excellant! Great playing and tone. Yeah, lately for some reason I can't seem to put my Tele down either . Seems to be a great combination of guts and clarity. What specific Kinmans are you using, Marin? Great kick to them. I've also heard mention of that Banzai Fireball pedal your using. I'll have to check it out one day.

Re: My Tele rocks....

Awesome, if you aimed at guts your there.......great tone and playing as usual Marin. Your versatility is excellent, good feel on all your music. Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

I am using the Broadcaster set - more midrange and overwound. The Banzai rocks!

I like the Tele because it's tight. You either pluck a note or you don't - there are no in-between settings!
