My Tremolo Shelf

So where do you guys place tremolo? I assume most would want it after delay, but what about reverb?

I only have a Boss TR-2 (2019, so no volume issue anymore like some of the older units),,,,and also the built-in on my Tremoverb head.
On the head I believe it's last in line, after reverb I think.(?) Been awhile since having that head in use.

i use amp reverb so everything comes before the reverb. i usually put the trem at the end of the pedal chain though

I like trem last, after 'verb and delay if possible.

Yes - 2019 is volume fixed.

As for where, depends on what you want

A sound that hits Tremolo when "Off" never reaches the amp. You get a distinct tremolo effect

A sound that hit a Tremolo when "On" (like delay or reverb) that reaches the amp may continue to sound even when the Tremolo goes off. You can get a milder wash over the Tremolo (or Tremolo under the sound(whichever).

Of course, on some amps, as mentioned, reverb tank is last so no options at all, or it is hard wired in a particular order like the Tremoverb.

This is exactly why my wife always says, "If you want financial stability in your life, never marry a musician."

I see no wrong with the OP myself. Like, Could I borrow one or two of those for about a week?

I'd let you borrow one based on your username alone, unfortunately the only one I have is in my GT-1000

So - I finally took the PN-2 out for a test run.

Overall impression: Great solid tremolo!
- Nice on/off volume, unlike older TR2's
- Only two waves, but solid throb or chop
- Excellent high speed rate - but the slowest setting, OMG! Sooooooooooo. slooooooooooow. Love it.

Haven't done any ping pong panning yet...but, with stereo out I can go direct into my Scarlett 2i2!!!!

I say Choka that in the trash. I see those all the time. I'm sure they are just fine as basic Tremolo goes. But I just can't get inspired by the sound, the look, the price, the name, all of it.

Sound Tank - so cheesy you love it all plastic and Volkeswagon-bug like
Tuna Melt - Mmm Mmm delicious
Ultra - Boss on the DL, sort of, but not really.

For the record that is two tremolos in stereo. To be exact it is two Fender Twins with the tremolo speeds set at different rates with the slide track overdubbed.

Still an awesome Tremolo song. Bayou and Bang Bang also amp Tremolo....

But you could do the Smiths today with an Old Blood Noise Whitecap.
