My two modded Neon Green ESP LTD M-50FR

Re: My two modded Neon Green ESP LTD M-50FR

Both are tuned normal. I just thought they were cool looking. I already have two of the neon orange colored of the same model and was very surprised at how solid they were built. I wanted to get a green one to go with the orange ones and bought one, then was surprised to get another as a gift for Christmas. I'm not really a shredder, tho I wish I was. I like to play blues and blues/rock mostly, but grew up in the 80's listening to the hair/glam metal and heavy metal, so I have a few of what I consider "80's metal" style guitars.

Me play rings around someone? LOL...doubt it. I'm an okay player...maybe.

How do you like the Liquifire matched with the Distortion? I'm thinking about putting a Liquifire in a guitar with a Black Winter in the bridge.

I haven't had a chance to gig with the guitar yet, but so far I like them together. The liquifire is much more versatile than you might think. It will clean up nicely if you're using a OD or distortion and can get a nice, thick bluesy tone. Adding it with the Distiortion they seem to compliment each other nicely. When used together, the Distortion adds highs and more edge to the Liquifire and the Liquifire tames the Distortion some. You can get some really nice tones just by using the volume to clean up both pickups together. They sound pretty sweet to me. Now how it'll all cut through in a band setting I'm not sure yet.

Thanks!

How about the balance when playing clean? I have a problem balancing my high-output bridge pickups with vintage-output humbuckers in the neck. I know the LF is a bit hotter on paper than, say, a '59, but is it enough to keep up with a firebreather like the Distortion?

I think they balanced out pretty well, but it's been a while since I played the guitar. I normally run my neck pickup a little lower to help keep it a little cleaner with OD and distortion.
