Mystery pic

Re: Mystery pic

I love the smell of Tolex in the morning. :)

lovely pics, and a great color combination

Re: Mystery pic

Looks great!

I wasn't aware that you shipped amps overseas Scott?

If this is the case (and you do), that's just given me serious amp GAS :D

Re: Mystery pic

Oh man, that's beautiful. I love the idea of the Marshall grillcloth with black/red vinyl.

So, does that make 2 or 3 Celtics he has now?

Re: Mystery pic

Scott - just curious why you didn't paint or tolex the inside. My amps have all had flat black paint applied to the non-tolexed areas inside the back. Has it just never been asked about by a customer before?

Re: Mystery pic

Damn Scott - your work always looks so fine!

FWIW I wouldn't paint the inside of that cab either. We can all see how nice and clear the wood is.

Bet she sings, and screams, just the way we like it :D

Re: Mystery pic

I"ve stained the inside before. I think it's just a matter of taste. I'd stain before paint. I want it to breathe. If you live in a really humid area, it wouldnt' take much effort to put a little stain on the inside.

As far as shipping overseas, Stratman twisted my arm on this one. Shipping and duty fees are going to be freaking high. But, I hear if you go DHL and go 3 or 5 day, the results are outstanding. We'll see tomorrow exactly how much it is, but online estimated it at around 375 or so. I believe that is the duties built into it as well.

I"m still concerned about what happens if the amp has an issue overseas. This is expensive shipping.

Re: Mystery pic

Beautiful work Scott !! Congratulations in combination with much admiration. ('nuf "tions" there ?)

Must make you so proud when you finish each and every one of these amps, and then stand back and look and listen.

Not to mention knowing how much GAS pain they create among so many of us forumites.

Is the cab made from pine or birch plywood? Looks like Baltic birch to me.

Congrats to Stratman also, Singapore will soon be a better place.

Re: Mystery pic

greco, that's the same sized combo as the plans I sent you. I dont' know if that helps your reference point or not when you look at that back photo.

baltic birch ply

Re: Mystery pic

The email must have gone to my work address, so I will see it tomorrow.

Re: Mystery pic

Yo, Scott, it might be beneficial to explain the extra knob for the "potential consumers.":D

I think it's a great addition.

Re: Mystery pic

It's just a cut control. Similar to the one in my Dierdre 30. Just a way to take the edge off.

Re: Mystery pic

Larry's gonna LURV this amp!!!!

Jeff Seals and I played the first one Scott built - At which time, I posted that it is the BEST CLUB amp made...

Since I am playing in three clubs and am too lazy to keep carrying amps around, I fugure, what the heck, just get another Celtic Amp...

I will send Scott_F more sound tracks to post on his web site

:usa1: <<< Why doesn't this Smilies come in Celtic colours?
