Just finished a project I've been working on, where I use connectors inside the strat body, so I can swap out the entire preloaded pickguard without having to use my soldering iron. Now I can build any configuration I want on my bench, pull the neck, and pop it in...

I did this on mine as well

I used a small terminal strip rather than the faston connectors

You have them set up as one male and one female so they can only plug in one way?

Did you combine the trem ground and the jack ground to a single plug?

Very nice, well done! I might do this on my 550. A teeny tiny minor upgrade would be using shielded cables.

Ehdwuld, I use a 2-conductor connector for the output jack, and simple spade connectors for the bridge ground, and yes, I configure them so that they can only plug one way.
Jeremy, I originally bought this guitar loaded with Hot Rails in the middle and bridge positions, and a Little '59 at the neck, but I swapped the neck and middle so I have Hot Rails in the neck, a bit more to my liking. The new one I got a *little* carried away with. The neck is an Alnico II Pro with a Triple Shot ring, middle is a Classic Stack Plus, bridge is a '59/Custom Hybrid, also with a Triple Shot ring. The 2 humbuckers/Triple Shots go to a push/pull switch at the volume control so I can switch between series or parallel between the 2 pups, that then feeds the 3-way blade, wired normally N/N+B/B. The output of the 3-way joins the middle pickup at a 4PDT on-on-on mini toggle, that allows me to add the Stack pup to whatever configuration is coming from the 3-way in either series or parallel, or with the middle disabled, and just passes through to the tone circuit, which is wired up as a G&L PTB circuits, with both high-cut and low-cut capabilities...*whew*... Shout out to Artie for helping me with the 4PDT wiring configuration!

Music Man does this on some guitars, and I've done it on all of my pickguard-wearing Warmoths. I use 3 wire Molex connectors, and it makes swapping super easy.

For my own builds lately I've been using basic aluminum duct tape that you can pick up fairly cheaply at any hardware store. It's much less expensive than copper tape, and accomplishes (pretty much) the same thing, shielding from EMI...
