After 12 years (and it being discontinued for many years now), i finally got an Electra Dyne head.
Can Not Be Happier !!!
That clean channel when you drive it HARD . . . is godly.
Also enough low end to rival my Laney AOR with the bass knob pulled.
It really sounds like a modern approach to my black face Bassman.
Kinda like a Bassman for the new new millennium.

Any other Electra Dyne owners / lovers here ?

So are they supposed to be an ideal Bassman sound? I don't remember what their 'thing' was.

I have an Electrodyne. It's pretty great. it does Marshally/Bassman version of Mesa with nice cleans. It's not a typical Mesa.

The second overdrive stage gets a little too sizzly for me pretty quick if you don't manage the EQ.

Is there even such a thing as too sizzley? That's like saying "too much garlic ".

and, not to derail the thread, but what is a "bassman" sound a tweed bassman sounds nothing like a bf bassman even through the same speakers
