NAD!, plus surprise bonus

Well, pickup up a new amp today.

I'd been a little overwhelmed by the volume of the HT50, and was only ever using it as a clean amp for my drive pedals so wasn't using all the features.

I decided I wanted something pretty simple with pure unadulterated tone at bedroom levels as well as when playing with friends.

So I got (drumroll)

......An AC15 HW combo!!!

Its the one with the greenback speaker rather than the alnico blue. I'm not necessarily after the 100% classic vibe, so I may not swap out to a UK made Celestion....time will tell. I also have a Heritage 65 speaker which may well work for what I want.

The shop I go to has had a lot of my money, so did me a great deal (25% off). The next delivery was a long way off so I essentially lay-byed it. Went to pick it up today and there was another bit of great news.......they'd got a great package deal from the supplier and threw in a Vox handwired wah too!!!

Its super hot today (38C) so I'm melting rather than playing, but playing my strat through it was great. Started off with some Stone Free.

Neat. The Vox wah is a good bonus.

You call that hot, it was 45c here today [ 111F] and 37 yesterday.

Well, anything over 36 I describe a F-ing hot, as its more than blood temperature. I'm guessing you're SA?? Adelaide always gets hit pretty hard with the heat. Luckily you escape the humidity. I've been in Alice Springs in 38 and 39 and its no where as bad as Melbourne at the same temperature. Sydney is the worst I've been in - I've avoided the tropics fortunately.

Your post reminded me of this:

<<<< See Location. Rainbow is in North West Vic. about 100k from the border. Hot and dry, the way I like it. It's been above thirty all this week except for Tuesday. It's right near victorias biggest inland lake, which currently has water, so much better than a dry lake bed like it was when I got here.

Where do you buy your gear from ?

Hahahaha Python. Those old fellas came from a radio predeccesor called " I'm sorry I'll read that again ". I used to listen to it religously back in my teens, back in the dark ages.:)
