NAD

Re: NAD

I would almost do two angled (if I had them) side by side, and head centered on the top of both. That would be awesome.

yeah, thats what I had said, with an AVT 4x12. Lilkely as not, you won't find another 80's 4x10 marshall. Those are great cabs, and Astrozombie should keep that 4x10 forever.
As far as height, I don't think an AVt would directly match with a 4x10 though, you might need to screw a board down on top- no big deal, because the cabinet ain't a looker nohow, although it does look cool IMO.
I'd also be scared of the potential of the amp falling off in between the two cabs if placed dead center. I think it would still look cool parked on top of the 4x10 head, and extending out over the AVT.

Re: NAD

I still miss the 1965A cabinet I had. Sounded great with the original Celestions. Light, easy to load in a 2-door Civic. Great cab!

I get you.

I think I'd enjoy the full stack though.

Actually, I'm thinking two "full"cabs is overkill.

I'm looking for a good 2x12, or 2x10, do those exist for guitar?

I gigged with the vox and marshall setup and found the tone too middy and not having depth.

I raised the action on my guitar, for a fuller sound. Tommorow I play at a church service, I'll let you know how it goes.

what about this cabinet?

It is a pretty solid cab, I'm enjoying the Emincence speakers, they work well with the cabinet as well as this particular head.

I don't know what gear availability is in PR, but you can do better than that cabinet. The stock T75 Celestion are awful - scooped & shrill. I've also heard that Marshall's build quality as of late isn't what it used to be.

Other options are black star, fender super sonic, Mesa ($$$), orange... Whatever shows up used.

Out of those, either the Fender or the Orange. You should try both if possible since Orange's cab construction is pretty unique. Both will come stock with V30s if I remember correctly.

A nice balance with my 410.

Re: NAD

If you want a great sound, just install a V30 next to that T-75. The T-75 paired with a v30..well, Lucid usues that cabinet...nuff said!Thats more for at least Southern rock to old school to moderately 90's high gain and moderately heavy 2000's nu (gain) metal .
I like the G1285K/100 for EV12L "Zakk" like massive sound, but with lots of touch sensitive response and . They can be mixed with other speakers in a 4x12 to great effect!.
Ive heard it from Dr Decibel directly that the Neodymiums are actually the most touch responsive , punchy speakers there are, due to speaker/ cone dynamics.

Re: NAD

Order an empty 2x10 cab of the desired width. Give it Vox cosmetics. Install two of your Eminence drivers. Rock out with or without yo' proverbial out.

Re: NAD

Are Avatar cabs an option?
Definitely consider this if you can.
Do Not buy that Marshall Cab. They are way overpriced for a crappy MDF cab.
Also.....LOTS of great deals on used, well made ply-wood cabs
And as mentioned above, you could hardly build your own cab for much cheaper than Dave sells them at Avatar.
Good Luck

I've considered doing a 610setup, 410 and 210. Or maybe 212 and 410. I'm wondering how I would have to set the ohms.
