That's good. My father-in-law has a big walnut stump that I'm looking at making a couple bodies from. He's got everything I'll need to cut, plane and route it.

Man if you get ahold of a nice chunk I might be willing to buy it off you for a decent price!

Sounds a bit crazy bro, But i would recommend assembling the guitar even with one pickup/simple wiring just so you have some idea of how it will play and feel. It will also give you a chance to make any body mods if you need.

FINAL UPDATE:

OOh boy ladies and gentlemen, here comes the moment you and I have been waiting for.... ITS FINISHED!

SPECS:
-ALL Maple neck and fretboard courtesy of the lovely folks over at Warmoth. Walnut Skunk stripe too! Standard thin contour, 22 medium jumbo frets, and a compound radius from 12" to 16"
-Solid two piece Walnut body
-Chrome Hardware all around
-Hipshot "Griplok" Locking tuners
-Metal Chrome Pickup rings
-JB in the bridge (Going to be swapped out when money allows), Quarter Pound in the neck
-Single volume and tone with one Gibby-style three way switch (keeping it simple with this one)
-Schaller 3D-S chrome bridge
-Tung Oil finish on both neck and body

Minty nice man. Hey it looks like the neck alignment maybe a bit out? Just looking at the center neck dots that are a bit off center to the D and g strings. You have that 3d6 on it too so maybe just one saddle is a bit off? Or possibly i am just speaking **** haha

If you run out of room you know you can just loosen the neck bolts, Place the guitar on its edge with the headstock touching the ground then push down on the upper horn and tighten the bolts. I had to do that with my last bolt on assembly. I dont know if anyone here uses that trick but i know alot of folks who hae ****ed guitars when they think a neck isn't aligned.

If you run out of room you know you can just loosen the neck bolts, Place the guitar on its edge with the headstock touching the ground then push down on the upper horn and tighten the bolts. I had to do that with my last bolt on assembly. I dont know if anyone here uses that trick but i know alot of folks who hae ****ed guitars when they think a neck isn't aligned.

Oh the neck is aligned, its the individual strings. Also the pickup isn't the right spacing, but I'll fix that.

Ah right well thats that then. Looks awesome i really like what you have done with it.

I have been trying to get mine running better but have hit a few speed bumps.

Fretbuzz of doom. I am getting there its just wearing me out. Its the ss fret wire its a pain in the anus to work with.

I think i got them from als guitar parts here in aus. Ebay will have them too.

Aiiiiiii thats the 5way ibanez sabre switch covers, I just modded the 3x 2way switches to fit into them.
