Apologies for the less than stellar pics... but I'm just too darn excited not to post these.
Neck is roasted maple. Feels increcible, doesn't need a finish, and smells glorious :13:

+1,000,000 to the Warmoth Roasted Maple!

Awesome looking guitar, looking forward to seeing it finished!

Re: Neck and Body of Warmoth build

What's the fretboard? And Body? WOAH!

board is Macassar Ebony, body is mahogany with one piece zebrawood top. Not a veneer either, it's about an inch thick at the pickup routes. I'll try to get betters pics up soon

The whole thing is absolutely stunning! The natural wood grains look amazing together!

Thanks man! Even though I planned it that way, I can't help but feel I lucked out with just how good it all looks together :smokin:

Ha! Always nice when things go as good or better than planned! The pieces look like they were made for eachother. Top notch job! :fing2:

I just hurt my hand trying to grab the guitar through the screen... thanks a lot...

Looks gorgeous, dude, enjoy!

And if you don't post clips and pics when it's done... there will be words. Ohh, there will be words....

Better pics to come very soon! might be awhile till completion tho. This is basically my ultimate build after some years of experience and trying things. clips will happen!

Re: Neck and Body of Warmoth build

Just a question to all using Warmoth necks - did you find them a perfect fit for your hands or you need to do some custom profiling job (e.g., sanding down) before using them?

I have 3 necks from them and finds that the shoulder (area along the neck close to the fretboard) radius is a bit sharp, especially for their thin-C profile. I have to sand them down until I get a smoother radius before I can use them else the tendons on my thumb will be quite painful after 5 mins of use....:smack:

The 59 profile from them is perfect for me right out of the box

I've found mine feel almost perfect, but I like to have the edges rolled a fair bit, so that is the only thing I do to them other than paint/finish.
