You were fine talking about Titebond (the correct answer to OP's problem).
Then you started that crap about drywall screws (in jest), and that's when the thread got stoopid.
Because I've been doing music repair for so long, I just hate to see the wrong info spread across the net.
I can't stop it from spreading like a virus, but I do my best in my little corner of it (like here).

I personally would not use Super Glue by any manufacturer

27 years of service after my CA glue repair says different. But it's not just the glue, it's the gap or more precisely, the absence of gap.

As a general statement, that is not true. However some glues work better than others. 2P10 CA glue is a staple in wood working especially among trim carpenters.

What I am is a 40 year veteran of guitar repair. I've been published over 50 times about guitar repair. I've trained young luthiers for the future. And all I am trying to do in this place is set the record straight against the rising tide of misinformation and plain old stupid people.
