Neck pickup for Jackson

I have an old Jackson Kelly Standard (Japanese bolt on) and I HATE my Air Norton neck pickup. To bright and "bridge" pickup sounding. Looking for something a little more round that sounds good clean and distorted. I play mainly rock/hard rock/light metal (think foo fighters, through the ol' hair bands, up to older metallica or so).

The guitar is a poplar body, maple neck, rosewood board. Bridge humbucker is a Duncan Custom.

I've had the '59 in the neck and liked it. Took it out when I went EMG, and like a fool, I sold it. I've played the P-Rails in my brother's Les Paul and thought they sounded great (completely different guitar).

My thoughts:
59 - Been there, done that, liked it, but want to try something new
P-Rails - Intriguing, especially with the triple shot
Pearly Gates - don't know much about this one
Alnico II Pro - also sounds interesting

AN too bright? Hmmm. Which way do you have it arranged? Screw coil toward neck?
