Neck pickup pairing for PB bridge

So I picked up a Schecter V-1 Plus several months ago. HSH, Mahogany w/ Maple cap, Rosewood/Maple neck, 22 frets, FR, etc. Haven't really gelled with the factory DD HB103 set. The neck is too muddy, bridge is too hot for my tastes and gets muddy with gain. I have an F1000 with a Demon in the bridge and love the clarity and definition under gain, but want something that sits between that and my JB equipped Pacer output wise and lacks the JB's mid hump, hence the PB. Most threads I have seen seem to lean toward the PGn or Demon in the neck.

The question, then, is who has actually installed one of these in a mahogany superstrat, and what are your impressions?

I figured this would have been more common, given how long the PB has been around now.

They are very different pickups.

How bright is the Superstrat? What kind of sound do you want from the neck position/how do you plan to use it?

You might consider a Full Shred and I'd be surprised if someone doesn't recommend a Jazz.

Yeah, a Jazz/PB combo would not sound muddy, and would be a shred-a-riffic set that should clear that guitar right up. Go for that set and don't look back.

He could pop an A5 into that HB-103N and get something in the ballpark of a Jazz. A lot easier than buying a Jazz and finding out you don't like it.

I may have to buy some mags and try that out. I already know that I like the Jazz, as I have one in another, very different guitar. I could always sell it or trade it if worst came to worst. I actually feel a bit dumb for not checking the product description page on the site, since it has changed quite a bit. I think I'll give the Jazz a shot, and see where I land. Thanks for the help guys!
